THE GRUNGEMAMA BASICS
What makes a good basic?
I'll tell you all about these essential items to have in your closet.
From the classic white t-shirt to a beautiful knit, and including jeans, shirts, and suits, in this article, I want to delve into the vast subject of wardrobe staples. For me, what constitutes a staple, how do you wear it, and which ones have I personally selected?
First of all, what makes a good basic? It's a timeless piece, something you use season after season, that doesn't follow fashions and ignores trends. It's a garment that lasts, usually with perfect finishing and cut. It's the piece that connects you, the one you envy your neighbor, the one that provides comfort. In short, no good wardrobe is complete without its selection of basics.
I have selected for you pieces which, in my wardrobe, are my must-haves, the Grungemama basics .
The shirt, the boyfriend asset

The shirt, borrowed from the men's wardrobe, I no longer question its legitimacy to reign supreme at the top of this list. You can do whatever you want with it; it's a basic piece you can have fun with: fitted, extra-large, over a swimsuit in summer, layered in winter, tied, open—have fun!
At Grungemama there are two standout pieces that I wanted to offer you in this category: the white WILSON and the black SUNNY .
The sweater, a second skin

A good knit is an essential item in your wardrobe. A sweater is a comfortable, almost cozy piece that you can take everywhere. The ZAZIE BLACK sweater is perfect for this. I love its V-neck and its second-skin feel.
The t-shirt, infinitely customizable

If I had to choose just one t-shirt, it would be this one. It's "the piece," but with this one, there's no room for error. Everything is important: the cut, the fabric, the details—nothing can be left to chance.
There are two models that I love in the Grungemama wardrobe: the IDRIS , in rather thick fabric, which has a sophisticated side, and the PIERCE , which brings a more destroyed, resolutely rock 'n' roll side.
Jeans, like a love story

Jeans could easily be the subject of an entire article (we promise, we'll get that ready for you very soon). There are as many cuts, colors, and sizes as there are styles. To find the right pair, there's no secret: you have to find the one that will be your best friend. But generally, when you find it, it's the beginning of a great love affair. I'll be honest, I'm in love with multiple pairs of these darn pants. I don't just love one pair, I love them all. I've still selected two very different ones to guide you: the BRAXTON jeans, whose cut and distressed effect I absolutely adore, and the JOHN , the perfect boyfriend jeans.
The costume, a garment with magical powers

The suit, more than just an outfit, is a look in itself. I wear it in every season, and it instantly gives me a feeling of confidence. As you know, I'm convinced that some clothes have magical powers, and the suit is one of them. Although borrowed from menswear, for me it's the epitome of femininity; it adds glamour to any silhouette. Sneakers, heels, t-shirt, shirt—it goes with everything. At Grungemama, you'll find the AMA suit and the DETROIT suit . Trust me, they're stunning.
The jacket, a classic in our wardrobe

I couldn't talk about wardrobe basics without showing you two products that I'll put in the same category: jackets. Here's the MANDY trench coat for an ultra-chic, couture-inspired look with a touch of boyish charm. Another timeless piece that every woman should own is the perfecto jacket. Whether oversized or fitted, the HUTCHY leather jacket from Grungemama really makes a difference.
The accessory, the detail that makes all the difference

I also wanted to include accessories in this list of basics.
At Grungemama, there's one item I can't live without: the baseball cap . No matter the color, I wear it all the time, winter and summer. A true sportswear staple, it can be paired with any outfit.
So, I know that tackling the basics was a big gamble, but I also know that if you follow me on our Instagram or here, it's also to give you advice, chat, and exchange ideas.
I think that, like me, you will share this observation: these are key pieces that speak to and appeal to all women.
