BANDITAS FROM MARSEILLE

BANDITAS FROM MARSEILLE

COLLABORATION BANDITAS FROM MARSEILLE

I always say that Grungemama is a story of encounters…

Eric, creator of Banditas Marseille, was the first one.

When I started Grungemama, I knew nothing about the business — not the suppliers, not the wholesalers, not the margins… I didn’t know the retail world at all.

OUR MEETING

One day, a Facebook follower told me: “Go to Rue Tapis Vert in Marseille, you’ll see… there are some great brands there.” That’s how I met Eric Babken Bazayan. He was smoking a cigarette in front of the shop, with a sharp look, not exactly smiling…

I walked in and discovered a very high-quality, truly original product. Nothing like what we had in our boutiques in Toulouse: plenty of linen, color, oversized shapes, knits in stunning shades, joggers, perfectly cut pants… just wow!

Then everything moved very fast — I left with an order of about thirty pieces, two colors each…

Two days later, the order was already sold out on the website… Three days later, we had our first argument (laughs)…

After that, I started working closely with the brand Banditas from Marseille, and it just kept growing. I had found my counterpart — someone who worked at the same fast pace I did. Nothing scared us.

He would send me his catalogs on WhatsApp, and I’d place my order the same day. The next day, I was delivered. The following day, the photo was taken, and the item was online…

BANDITAS FROM MARSEILLE, OUR HISTORIC MANUFACTURER

Then, with the first boutique on Rue d’Astorg and the website, our quantities became large enough to launch the first Grungemama T-shirts into production… Then came the Glitter Sneakers, with their fluorescent yellow, orange and pink laces — a real hit!

The openings continued, the synergy worked, and I grew alongside him… almost like a superstition. He had to be part of Grungemama’s story — and he still is today. His first gift: a black mannequin that’s still hanging around in our warehouse…

I attach great importance to the quality of the relationships I have with my partners, and it’s the same with my teams. Business, yes, it’s necessary — we need abundance so that the team can work in good conditions and the company can grow with great prospects. BUT all of this must be done with heart ❤️ otherwise, it doesn’t interest me.
